Sosefina Fuamoli is an award winning Samoan-Australian music journalist and broadcaster.
Her work has been featured in a number of titles including Rolling Stone Australia/NZ, KNOTFEST, NME, The Australian, The Age, Beat Magazine and more. Sosefina’s essays have also been published by the Australian Music Vault.
She can currently be heard hosting weekly music interview show ‘On The Record’, for ABC Pacific / Radio Australia, as well as ‘Sista Sounds’ - a dedicated radio show on the network to amplifying women’s voices throughout the Oceanic region.
Since 2010, Sosefina has worked in Australia and abroad, profiling artists and events in North America, Europe and the U.K., while championing emerging artists and above all, a more diverse and culturally enhanced music culture.
She has won the ‘Live Music Journalist’ award twice at the National Live Music Awards (2020, 2022), as well as the ‘Emerging Talent’ award at 2024 AIBs in London (Association of International Broadcasting). In 2025, she received a nomination for Music Journalist of the Year at the International Music Journalism Awards (IMJA) in Germany.
Since 2021, Sosefina has hosted R&B show ‘Window Seat’ on 3RRR FM, and has also enjoyed guest host stints on Double J and triple j. As of 2025, she is ABC News Breakfast’s Music Correspondent, a role she shares with triple j’s Lucy Smith.
Sosefina is also a noted industry speaker and facilitator, having appeared on and hosted keynote discussions at Australian events including Splendour in the Grass, Melbourne Writers Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival and BIGSOUND; and international events including BreakOut West (Canada), Going Global (New Zealand) and Reeperbahn Festival (Germany).
From 2015 - 2023, Sosefina served as a judge for the Australian Music Prize, and currently sits on panels for APRA, Reeperbahn’s Anchor Award, and the ARIA Awards.
